Ephesus from Terrace House to Tomb

Barry Strauss, Ph.D., professor of History at Cornell University, will present this program on what has sometimes been called the "Turkish Pompeii." Ephesus was one of the largest, most vibrant cities of the Roman world. Digs are still being conducted there today. Dr. Strauss will talk about the recently discovered Terrace Houses, which belonged to the wealthier citizens, and also look at a gladiators' cemetery, which could easily be considered the other side of the coin.
